Effects of intratesticular injection of CaCl 2 on serum testosterone levels over time. Following the injection of CaCl2 in lidocaine solution (group A), testosterone decreased significantly (F = 0.47; P < 0.003) for up to 6 months, although testosterone levels at 12 months returned to baseline. After injection of calcium chloride in alcohol (group B), testosterone levels decreased significantly (F = 65.1, P < 0.001) throughout the 12-month follow-up period.
