The attenuation value of the hypophysis (green arrows) was higher than in the pre-contrast image. There is a cavity at the centre of the right side of the hypophysis with low attenuation (blue arrow heads). An abscess in the hypophyseal tissue is the most likely diagnosis of this cavitary lesion, whereas a Rathke’s cleft cyst or neoplasm is less likely
