The domestic dog can serve as an attractive model in comparative oncology. Dogs and humans share the same environment and possess multiple similarities in genetics, physiology as well as tumorigenesis and cancer progression. For this reason, canine models are of great importance to cancer and immunological studies and can contribute to improvement of human immunotherapy
