  1. Data are reported as mean ± standard deviation or median (min-max). Respiratory rate was measured before and after the insertion of the airway device post anaesthesia induction; PE’CO2 and Vt were measured by a pitot spirometer connector with a respiratory gas sampling port attached to the airway device and connected to a multiparameter monitor
