Leukocyte RNA from freshly sampled d-14 and h +6 blood was converted to cDNA by reverse transcription and the cDNAs differentially labeled with Cy5 and Cy3, respectively. The labeled cDNAs were mixed and hybridized to the microarray. After array scanning the Cy5 profile was integrated with the Cy3 profile to give a final emission profile of red, green and yellow spots (see Figure 1). Red spots represent leukocyte genes preferentially expressed on d-14, green spots represent leukocyte genes preferentially expressed at h +6, and yellow spots represent leukocyte genes expressed equally on d-14 and h +6.
