  1. Data of the COFT are expressed as mean ± standard deviation (range).
  2. OF5, OF50, OF90 are the NaCl concentration at which respectively 5, 50 and 90% of RBCs are hemolysed.
  3. OF5, OF50 or OF90 from all clinical groups (group 1–5) were compared with the control group (group 6). The global significance level was set at 0.05.
