The entire pharyngeal area was inflamed (S Stylohyoid, E Epiglottis). b In Calf 2, the abscess was located on the right at the base of the tongue in the region of the tonsillar fossa (probe) and palatine tonsil (TP) and involved the distal end of the stylohyoid bone
